December 30 Christmas TripTrip to Vegas and Death Valley for five days.
On Christmas day morning, we met a couple in a restaurant in Ridgecrest, who just came back from Vegas.
They went there to celebrate their anniversary.
Fifty-six years ago, they eloped to Vegas to get married, when they were only teenagers.
Now, they helped each other to sit down and get up, but still they were so happy to be with each other.
I couldn't stop envying them.
Borrowing somebody else's words,
"In fifty years, if I were half as happy as they are now, I would count myself as the happiest person in the world".

出去打网球，竟然看到高中女生啦啦队集体训练
大概是为了过几天的比赛吧
至少有几百人
电影里所有的动作差不多都有
高声的喊口号
场面何止壮观！！！

有时候“啊Q”一点也是不错的 August 05 From Cherry to Mount San Jacinto State Park每次都是计划赶不上变化
已经是第二次出去摘樱桃了
到了樱桃园，竟然没有一家开门的,
 好像过了樱桃的季节了...
不过没有被大家骂已经很高兴了，上次都是因为我去海边玩，耽误了出发时间，然后路上遇到了塞车，忍受不了然后改成去钓鱼，想想没有带permit然后又改成去葡萄园喝酒。
这次不同的是我们改去了Mount San Jacinto
很好玩，有Aerial Tramway，就是空中缆车
有机会锻炼自己，适应一下高度
一路开过去要很长时间
好在一车的朋友很聊得来
嘻嘻哈哈聊一些很开心的事

It costs 220 million dollars. Only yesterday, it earned 21 million back.
The plot is tttttterrible~~~
However, you will enjoy it if you like to see superman flying around.
Actually, he flies in almost half of the movie.
The beginning is quite impressive, but the end is rather lousy.
Anyway, it is a typical American heroic movie, far better than Wu Ji.
June 28 Del Mar Fair补上上周六的活动
去了位于Del Mar的San Diego County Fair, 感受一下美国的乡村生活。
印象最深刻的是一个关于鱼的show。一个美国家庭自己养的各种奇怪鱼，开了一个展台，让大家参观。我们到的时候家里的大人都不在，大概是出去吃饭了。只留下三个男孩，最大的也就10岁左右。小家伙们非常自信的向参观的人介绍各种鱼的特点，还教给我怎么抓起一只长得像turtle的shellfish然后又不让它的尾巴扎到自己。好像我就是他们同龄的朋友一样，让我看到了从国内小孩子身上很难见到的自信。
Fair里面竟然还有一只大象，可以让大家骑着玩。第一次知道原来大象身上的毛是这么的硬。不过在上面的感觉很安全，不是很摇摆，比骑马要舒服多了。也难怪当初Alexander的勇猛骑兵会败给大象身上的印度人呢。
看了别人蹦极。看到一个很壮的人上去了，然后在边上犹豫，犹豫，再犹豫，最后还是退缩了，没有敢跳下来。于是我也和别人一起boo了他。感觉有点幸灾乐祸，或者五十步笑百步，其实自己最怕站在高处了。估计到了上面直接晕倒掉下来 :-(
听别人说这里又个动物叫Llama，长得很漂亮，其实就是和驴一样的动物-_-!。找了半天没有找到，也就算了，下次有机会见到再和它合影吧~~~ May 29 Sea WorldIt was a fun day.

I got all wet from the salty sea water.
Also bought a small shamu from gift shop at a reasonable price.
Food and water were severely overcharged.
Bet it is a dream place for kids.
Whatever.

原来西餐还是蛮好吃的
都怪自己平时去的地方的档次太低了
希望厨艺不要下降 ipod video 60g昨天终于收到了
犹豫了很久
想买一个512M左右的mp3
或者是这个ipod
最后在朋友的怂恿下干脆买了一个最大的
itune也没有传说中的那么好用
晕死了
花了4个小时
终于差不多传满了
累得也没有精神听

什么都不懂，只好拿着去同学家调弦
顺便欣赏一下ibook
果然不一样
比windows不知道好到哪里去了

下个笔记本就买apple January 21 Volunteer for RFS 2006上个学期和朋友一起迷迷糊糊的报名当了volunteer 没有搞清楚地点原来是在downtown的convention center 连续两天，早上7点不到就要起床，好辛苦 7:30到了会议大厅，到处找吃的 然后和主持人打个招呼 其实根本没有什么事情 都是circuit和RF 听得一头雾水 中午饭竟然是在12:15开始 下午2:00还有课 只好忍了，55 早饭多吃～～ December 30 The Bean and Wine Cafe昨天开车一个多小时，去附近的一个叫Excelsior的小镇
目的地是一个叫Bean and Wine Cafe的咖啡馆
它在Minnetonka湖边
昨天晚上有一个小乐队表演
Randy Casey，还有他的两个弟兄
有一些生活音乐，很有意思
别人送他一个家具，也编成了一首歌唱了出来
后面就是Rock
大家还可以现场点歌
坐在Drum的旁边，耳朵有点受不了-_-!
感觉他们的音乐很有原创性
没有什么口水歌
当然是和国内的bar里面的音乐相比
晚上9点多开始下雪
为了安全，匆匆赶回家
December 26 bicycling to Ford DamEven though it was not sunny today, it was not cold either.
We bicycled to the Ford Dam, which was named after the nearby Ford factory.
It was said that the factory might be closed in the near future.
That would greatly affect the economy of the Twin Cities.

弄得我也没法上网-_-! 现在补上昨天的blog 远在异乡见到老朋友，心中有说不出的激动 漫步在明大的校园里 路上遇到了一群胖胖的松鼠 我们好奇的看着它们 他们更加好奇的看着我们 傻傻的，胖胖的，可爱的松鼠 明明知道没法欣赏现代派的艺术 我们还是酷酷的走进了Museum，几分钟之后酷酷的走了出来 走在Mississippi河边，欣赏着冬季的落日 相见的时间是如此短暂 拥抱，道别 心中的感觉，永远没法讲清楚 谢谢Le和Yan的热情款待 有机会来加州，一定记得来找我～～～～ |
